Shatta Wale took a dig at Sarkodie, after the Sarkcess Music Records Boss
congratulated him on being the only
Ghanaian artiste to work with Beyonce on the Lion King Album.
We reported earlier that the album will be released on the 18th of July and from the
tracklist released already, Shatta Wale will be on a song with Beyonce titled “Already”.
Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino,
Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Yemi
Alade and Tekno are also on the album.
Shortly after the report went viral, Sarkodie
Welcome home Queen @Beyonce
officially Big shouts
@shattawalegh !!! And all our
brothers and sisters on there … Big
One for the culture
But reacting to the congratulatory message from Sarkodie, Shatta Wale called him a hypocrite in an interview with Zylofon FM.
He claimed that the the “tweet was not from Sarkodie’s heart”, as he has always been acting like a boss to him which he hates.
“Sarkodie has become too known.
He was recently on Hitz FM and he
was trying to pose big to me. I don’t
pose big to people. Music is not
about your dress and it’s not about
how you speak.
“I don’t want hypocrites around me.
Sarkodie has always been a
hypocrite. I didn’t wish him on his
birthday. He think he can tweet
about my collabo and make people
say he’s a matured person. I won’t
retweet his tweet. He can say that
message but I know deep down
within him it wasn’t a real tweet.”
The two Ghanaian artistes beef has been on for a while. It was reignited in 2018,
after Shatta Wale accused Sarkodie of
failing to appear for the video shoot of a song they did together.
He rebuked Ghanaian artists for not being supportive of each other, and was quite angry that Sarkodie was shooting a video with a Nigerian artiste.
Earlier today, Beyonce unveiled the tracklist of her new album, The Lion King: The Gift, which is the musical accompaniment to the
new Disney movie.
The album features six Nigerian popstars including include Yemi Alade, Burna Boy,
Mr. Eazi, Tekno, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage.
Now, Kenyan singer, Victoria Kimani says, ‘ as much as we celebrate with our fellow Africans. The obvious exclusion of Kenyans/
East Africans on this Soundtrack is

Two days ago, Disney released new posters for The Lion King, showing all of the main characters with credits to their voice actors in the posters.

A heated debate has ensued on Twitter regarding who is a better performer between Michael Jackson and Beyonce.
No doubt, Michael Jackson and Beyonce are two musicians who have made great impact with their talent, but Twitter users believe they are not on the same level and have resorted to comparing MJ vs Beyonce.
This comparison comes after the release of Beyonce’s Homecoming documentary which showed the efforts Bey put into making her
Coachella performance exceptional. She had just given birth to twins via an emergency C-Section after suffering pre-eclampsia during pregnancy. Yet, she
refused to stay home to recuperate and immediately went into beast mode, exercising and dieting just to get back into shape.
Following the release of the documentary,
Some Twitter users began to refer to her as the greatest of all time and no one, not even Michael Jackson, can compare. But some tweeps felt there was no basis for the comparison as both artists were from different eras. Some said Michael was able
to make so much impact globally, even without the internet, whereas the internet helped give Beyonce reach.
Some compared them based on their stage performances and the impact they had on the crowd during concerts. They pointed
out that people fainted when MJ performed but Bey hasn’t been able to achieve that.
So far, web users have been unable to
come to an agreement as diehard Beyonce fans insist she’s the best of all time, whereas, others say she’s good but can’t compare with the late MJ.
It’s no news that Beyoncé is the first black woman and Ariana Grande is the youngest person to ever headline the Coachella festival.
Now it has been revealed Ariana Grande has raked in $8 million for her two headline slots at Coachella festival.
The ‘7 Rings’ singer, who is the festival’s youngest ever headliner, performed at the event on Sunday (April 14) and is due to
play again this Sunday (April 21).
According to Business Insider, Beyonce was paid approximately $4 million for her 2018, two-hour “Homecoming” show that
sparked a Netflix documentary and a live album of the same name where she performed dozens of her hit songs.
However, this year, Variety says that Ariana was paid $8 million for her show where she sang her chart-topping tracks from all five
of her albums while closely following the same setlist for her “Sweetener World Tour.”
“Because Beyoncé came in last year
and did her thing and kind of set
the bar, basically Coachella
becomes a competition, which is
ridiculous,” Ariana’s production
designer LeRoy Bennett told The
Hollywood Reporter. “And artists
who are strong should just come in
and do their own thing and just be
who they are. And that’s pretty
much what Ariana has done.
There’s not like there’s a bunch of
gags. She’s being Ariana and
singing and doing her thing.”
Beyoncé has revealed the extreme lengths she went to loose weight for her headline slot at Coachella last year, following the
birth of Rumi and Sir Carter.
The 37-year old singer weighed 218lbs on the day her twins were born in June 2017 and embarked on a gruelling vegan diet in a
bid to lose weight, but vowed ‘never to push myself that far again’.
Speaking in her Netflix documentary,
Homecoming, released today, she said: ‘In order for me to meet my goals, I’m limiting myself to no bread, no carbs, no sugar, no dairy, no meat, no fish, no alcohol… I’m hungry’.
She also added that;
“It’s not like before when I could
rehearse 15 hours straight. I have
children. I have a husband. I have
to take care of my body. Just trying
to figure out how to balance being a
mother of a six-year-old and of
twins that need me, and giving
myself creativity, and physically,
there’s a lot to juggle.
‘I definitely pushed myself further
than I knew I could and I’ve learned
a very valuable lesson. I will never,
never push myself that far again. I
feel like I’m just a new woman in a
new chapter of my life and I’m not
even trying to be who I was. It’s
just so beautiful that children do
that to you.’
